Guest Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 if you can raise the front. you need a slope for water run off (6 to 8 in) make a sectional roof with 4 by 2 beams and ply and a 18 inch overhang all round (thats what i have) i also used sticky backed felt (got from builders) hope this is of use dave
Guest bigda Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 why is it the same size front and back can you not alter it , there is nothing wrong in how to roof it, make roof 6" all round bigger add a slope front to back place new roof on top fill in sides 4" run

jimmy white Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 build your taper onto roof then fit if youve a saw mill near you,, theyll cut to suit,, i managed to get lengths of 6ins high at front,, tapering down to i ins at the back,, you could either put tile battons on, then fit tiles ,, or fit ply,, then felt
stewarty dove Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 You can make a traditional dutch barn roof at the front and have a sloping hip roof at the back, using some lose timber.
