fletch Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 put a few cloves cut up into small peices and then put in a 2litre bottle with water then let ferment/settle for few hours then put in your drinkers. Hold your nose thougth!!!!
Guest IB Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 If you are using it for the first time, you will need to get your birds used to the taste. The bulbs I use weigh around 30 grammes. One bulb is peeled and crushed and mash is added to 4 litres of fresh drinking water which is given right away. They drink that no bother. Have left it before them for a full day and one overnight and they will still drink it.

Gill Bros Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 What we do is chop 3 to 4 cloves of garlic then put them into a leo pea bag put this in each fountain it then acts like a teabag they then bleed into the fountain and keep toping up each day for five days then repeat the programe. We also do the same process as back up with a gallon can
Merlin Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 My own way, especially in close season, peel three cloves, slice, without breaking, place in net bag,put into a two gallon container, always filled overnight, drinkers are filled on a daily basis from this, with the garlic left in until its almost mush, when it begins again, days when its like soup, and you can smell it at 10ft, race/breeding season its changed be fore it gets "mushy",usually at the rate of two weeks on/two weeks off garlic.
Wiley Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 the best way to administrate garlic i feel is to chop it into pea size pieces and straight down the throat, do this in the racing season and watch the down fall
Romeo Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 I add two to three bulbs peeled and chopped up into small pieces to a 5 liter container of hot water the previous night and given to the birds the next morning. They are given the garlic in the water on a Sunday and Tuesday everyday of the week. Romeo
