globalgirl Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Well guys its not my week. Blackie had just made his bid for freedom. He had been quite unsettled since I put him in his new loft. As you know my old birds dont go out any more. I was putting some fresh water in and he freaked out flying back and forth and then flew against the inside door which I had shut to and out through the main door. I'm absolutely gutted and am hoping he will come back but he's not been out in a very long time. My stepdad is coming over to see if he can open the trap door on the old shed but its nearly falling apart. Any suggestions as to what I can do guys. I'm very angry with myself and just hope no nasty predator gets him
Guest Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Hi There, i dont know where you got Blackie from , but he may have gone back there. Dos he have a ring number you can post on here so members can be on the look out for him. hope you find him ..................amanda
globalgirl Posted October 30, 2008 Author Report Posted October 30, 2008 I dont know either. They were my grandads pigeons. He did have a ring on but I dont know what the number is he would never sit still long enough for me to read it. I just got this horrible feeling he aint coming back :'(
globalgirl Posted October 30, 2008 Author Report Posted October 30, 2008 If anybody does find a stray he's very big and quite unsociable. Very dark blue/black in colour and quite old. I know thats probably not gonna help much. I'm in the Epsom, Surrey area.

pjc Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 if he used to go out and his old loft is still there i'm sure he will return to it. When he was spoofed it may have unsettled him but when he calms down and gets hungry, all being well will return. Phil
