Guest Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Still a good start to build on, time now to reflect and get the extra yds, don't let it get you down be positive, it's really early yet, my birds haven't been out of the loft yet since begining of September!!

pjc Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 thats life Kwango, could be 20 min in front but its the time on the clock that counts.
Guest strapper Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 i should have taken 1st 3 in the fed back last season in o/birds...next door neighbours daughter banging the fence and screeming at the dog...i workied out that the 1st bird when landed on the roof add time to enter the loft plus other two ..1st bird would have had a vel around the 1471 mark...fed topper eventually was 1414......the other two were directly behind it.....its a f/sickner but you have to just grin and bear it...this was witnessed by two club m8s...who can see my loft from theirs. >... all the best for next week m8.
Guest cowboy Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 next door neighbours daughter banging the fence and screeming at the dog...can tell her to shut up but not the air show like last year

pjc Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I try and let the birds out when kids are running around, mower is going, washing is out etc etc so they aren't afraid or spoofed by noises on a saturday! My grandfather used to yell at the neighbours if they dared go into there garden on a saturday!

Guest strapper Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 what made it worst when next doors daughter was doing what she did..is her step father is a member of my club!...and he was in the house(not racing that day) and said nothing!...but i couldnt say much as i know they would make a point of it to be doing the same next week. we start next week at swindon ...58mls to me. seen that we have rain coming in for next week....so dont know if any training will be had. :-/
Guest The main Mahon Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I also raced from Wakefield today. Birds were up at 09.30hrs. Clocked my first two at 10.52hrs ( they arrived back at 10.49hrs but did several laps of the loft because they couldn,t land in the strong wind), had 9 out of my 11 sent back before 11am. This still wasn't quick enough though as all four cards went on 10.46hrs. Never mind, there's always next week.
