Guest Owen Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 I used to sell aloe vera from a stall at the markets. Chepstow and Pontypridd regularly and at the Agricultural Shows. I am not sure if it is much good for birds taken orally. I can't say I've tried it. But where burns of any kind are concerned, it is pure magic. It is especially good on sunburn. That's the good news. Now the better news. The aloe plants that are on a lot of people's window cills are just as good and a great deal cheaper. Cheaper because they regenerate after you have nicked their leaves. The active ingredient is the gell that is contained in the leaves. It is claimed that the gell will cure internal problems of the gut. Such as ulcers, tummy upsets and intestine troubles. Some people use it on skin complaints of all kinds. It should be good for a pigeon with sunburn, ulcers and diarrhoea.

Guest Freebird Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 It is on my list of natural wormers. HI IB, could you post your list for all us numpty's, please.(bunny)as I would prefer to go the natural way. I think we have a lot to learn now that the chemical industry has been found out, so to speak. Thanks.
