abbeypap Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Are clubs allowed to tell members they can't use ETS?
pjc Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 clubs only have to accept it if there is a member willing to opporate the club system, if nobody is willing to set it up etc then they can not be forced to use it.

SHU Rules are different from RPRA; SHU Rules state ETS can be used. Clubs are bound by those rules.

abbeypap Posted April 26, 2009 Author Report Posted April 26, 2009 Thanks for the replies. Lady in Wales bought one as a birthday present for the OH but he said it wasn't allowed in his club.

Understand what you are saying, but my understanding is that here in Scotland, SHU clubs don't have option of refusal, it's treated as just another clock, and just like it was with the manual clocks Benzing, Toulet, STB, T3, when a new one comes along the club has to learn how to use it. But I see the original post has now been updated, now appears club is not in Scotland, so basically I can't help on their procedures.

Gail J will confirm what i've said. Its always worth checking when joining a new club if they have ets or before buying it. It maybe as simple as the club doesn't have the club equiptment to opporate ets in which case you can either provide it or try and persued the club to get one.
