Guest G.Drysdale + son Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Race rubber handy for putting a small note into saying were the bird was or a contact number so the owner can thank you (if it's not too much trouble)
Guest HighSpeedLofts Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Race rubber handy for putting a small note into saying were the bird was or a contact number so the owner can thank you (if it's not too much trouble) if the bird goes in to 20 lofts and they all do the same thing the bird will never get off the ground with all the paper round its leg ;D
Guest bigda Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 good idea to put a note in race rubber ,remember reading a story once a bloke who flew pigeons saying to his wife am going to win you a telly ,he got a national bird in and fed and watered it let it up and a bloke up north win in the national and won a tv he sent the tv down to the guy that watered his bird and he did"t know the man was looking for a telly :)
retired Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 I take the race rubber off or put a plastic clip ring on. A fancier got one of mine in last week and put a clip ring on it so some people are helpful and very grateful to him for doing so

Guest Freebird Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 the bird could just be in your loft for a wee refreshment I would say that's a clever doo rather than landing and taking a drink from a puddle. Why should it's race be over? If it takes to the wing after refreshement especially a long or hard race it's a good yin in my book.
