gazza1 Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 been training mine most days but range only 10 to 20 miles...had a few late in strong winds...not sure what is best distance for young birds
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Being a novice i have learned alot this year with y/bs, i trained upto 28/30 miles some times twice per day morning and evening, other days just once in the evening. I have trained in clear blue skies overcast and also light rain. I have found on clear days they dont come as well as they do when its over cast and in light rain. Jmo, i will also add i have found this year when its a lovely day they seem to range and fly to long resulting in me loosing a few so I adjusted my management to only allowing them out once per day in the evening when its cooler again this is jmo.
