cass04 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 what are the nipa playing at . there were muliple hold overs in the old bird season when there was no real reason for it and now on the the first mass lib of the young bird season they let them up when you cant see your finger in front of you and the rain is coming down sideways..were is the sense in it!!!!!!!!!
edwards Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 had it our selfs mate were in the eastcoast
cass04 Posted August 1, 2009 Author Report Posted August 1, 2009 its an absolutely shocking day ,,,i just cant understand what made them let the birds up.
paddymac Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 cass I agree with you regards the liberation, but we (section H) were liberated on our own from Tullamore.
cass04 Posted August 1, 2009 Author Report Posted August 1, 2009 even if we were on our own (which i dont understand why) there should never of been a liberation today
glenrandal Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 dont believe the nipa liberated today cant see the hills with mist and rain all day. section H fancier.
fred smyth Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 so what are the returns like are they realy bad , no one has said yet
glenrandal Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 talking to members who sent good returns and a fast race can't believe it.
fred smyth Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 the fed was the same doing 0ver 1800 yam ,,
fred smyth Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 only problem might be for short flyers there birds might get draged on and find it hard getting back into the wind,
cass04 Posted August 1, 2009 Author Report Posted August 1, 2009 my first dropped in at 12.50 lib at 10.45 ..124mls i dont bother clocking in these early races 20 back out of 34 so far . last bird at 7pm. i cant see any excuses for liberating today . fair enough it might of been a fast race for the leaders but any birds caught out have little or no chance of making it home in that weather. the nipa are a disgrace
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 i sent 11 today was a disgrace but got all 11 within 4 hrs im happy with returns i know weather was bad but turned out good for me 2nd club
paddymac Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 even if we were on our own (which i dont understand why) there should never of been a liberation today Like I said cass04 totally agree, but they have been doing it for years, take ob Penzance this year for example. The reason we were liberated on our own is that we are no longer the whipping boys of the nipa and are now starting to count in the open and section results due to central liberation points forced upon them by the Irish Aviation authority. Mr. D & company are trying to establish a line of flight before we are allowed to join them. After changing last weeks race point I believe there was quite a few unhappy members in section A ? who had called a meeting to voice their concerns, unfortunately Mr. D failed to show. :-/ :-/
pearse1888 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 i never sent because i new today would have been like this and if i had birds in the race i would have been shocked that they were let up as well it was terrible conditions ... but saying that everyone ive spoke to had a great race with really good returns .... if it was a sunny day there would have been losses lol it doesnt make sence ... dont know if it was a bad decision or a lucky decision but it turned out good raging i never had none in it because they would have learned from them conditions the day :-/ :-/
paddymac Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 The luck lay in the fact that we liberated on our own Pearse. If we had been liberated in the mass liberation I'm sure it would have been a different story. NIPA have no consideration nor respect for our birds flying into the N/West. They have proved that over the years.

paddymac Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Its a waste of time logging onto that excuse for an information service, its worse than the lib line.
