Guest stb Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 it wasnt admitted to but that was the message i was getting off themthe franking machine bursts them out if your unlucky, better to put on a pecil and tape to inside of padded envelope as it also stops them getting sqaushed with franker ;)

Guest stb Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Yes---Us ring collectors have several torned open--or lost in the system. More than you would think do not ever arive. We have to fill out a Custon form to mail outside the USA. If we put "Pigeon" rings--they think of bird flu and destory it. Also the word "rings" they may think of jewelry and it may go in a pocket. For contents I put tubing samples or marker bands We use padded envelopes and it still happens more times than we like. Folks--its a cruel world we are living in.tape the rings on a pencil and celotape it to inside of envelope if they dissapear then theve been nicked
JOHNO DSLL Posted August 10, 2009 Author Report Posted August 10, 2009 if they thought it was jewlery it must of bin ET cus they wunt fit any1 elses fingers ;D ;D ;D
Guest spin cycle Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 perhaps the tissue paper made it thicker. i sent a book out recently and it would've fitted through the 'large letter' slot...but sent it as a parcel...cost£1-30 which i thought wasn't bad as 1st class is 40p odd. i think its odd rings would make a letter to thick
JOHNO DSLL Posted August 10, 2009 Author Report Posted August 10, 2009 well they must of bin taken out of all the tissue paper i wrapped em in cus they couldnt of just come out
