LUCY Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 Hello wondered if anyone can help Whilst at work today at st peters hospital chertsey surrey a pigeon flew into the window, I left it for a few hours then after work I went and placed it in a box and took it about 200m to some open ground and released it I then noticed it had a red ring on both of its legs. It flew about 100m and landed on a very high roof unfortunatly I had to leave it there but I will see if its still there in the morning. I couldn't take its numbers on its rings i'm not sure I did the right thing ,do the rings on it's legs mean its a racing pigeon? If so will it be able to fly of after a few hours? Any ideas?
