Guest pigeon82 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 just looked on pigeon network liberation details apparently were racing from fermoy next week thats 2 weeks race points missing why are they doing this its getting ridiculous i know we started the season one week behind but why do we have to miss 2 races out
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 the 2nd roscrea was missed out and form what was said on the other site the 2nd clonmel will be missed out but ill post his comment in a second
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 this is what was wrote The NIPA will race mark as normal tomorrow evening (Friday) for a planned liberation on Saturday in Clonmel. Weather forecast at present indicates that the weather will clear up around 12 Noon on Saturday wind will be a fresh South Westerly around 17 - 20 miles per hour with gusts expected to put another 5 - 8 miles per hour onto that. Sunday is looking at the minute some what troublesome with early indications being that it is a mixed bag with spells of prolonged rain in both the North and South during the course of the day. Monday looks the best day at hand, but based upon the information available this evening the NIPA have opted to go for a planned liberation on Saturday. ** The NIPA Race Next Week will be from Fermoy. **
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 your welcome pal but cant find any reason why this is happening
red1chq3 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 That will mean the remainder of the programe will be Clonmel, Fermoy, Talbenny, Fermoy, Rosscarberry and another Fermoy if the NIPA decide to have it, regards.
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 6 races left instead of 8 someone on here must have a reason why this has happened they should never have put the programme out if this is the case what will happen next year
ch pied Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 if they go up , with that wind , the fancier's in ayrshire , will need to get more feeding in , or a big brush to keep them out of their loft's
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 ;D ;D ;D ;D i hope not lol hopefully we will get a better race this week than we did last week by the way that young bird you got for me between the parents and grandparents they have had 2 national winners and 3 or 4 runnerups in the nationals

Guest pigeon82 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 that bird will possibly never raced to good to lose
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 They are probably jumping races as they know Talbenny is only 3 weeks away and they need the birds to get a bit of distance. Only my opinion. SL Just checked the forcast and a lib looks possible tomorrow pm although very windy.
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 yeah but if you look at sunday its perfect all day would of been better
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Sunday does look better. The Fed are marking tonight also so they must think it is possible. Hope Sunday is good as it says as i have 2 birds in Galway
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 good luck but after a conversation about that galway crowd i will never get mixed with them
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 My first year sending so i dont really know anything about them so cannot comment. I do hope they get a good race though and the birds get a fair chance. Think of the pigeon house you could buy with 50k
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 ill tell you know i was speaking to a bloke who i would say has raced pigeons nearly all his life and the bloke who manages this galway loft is a business man who is just after money if you took a look at last years race not one bird was timed on the final race in race time and alot of birds are missing all ready the bloke i spoke to also said the man in charge never kept a pigeon in his life till he decided to take this galway loft race up its a shambles if you ask me i wont ever trust him
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Good to know something like that and when i talk to him i will ask him about his past racing experience. I am not saying its not true but if you look at the ring list there are alot of TOP fanciers have birds there, only a thought.
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 i understand that and what your saying but a few people in our club was with them last year and never again they said its all to do with the money but i hope they get back for you really do
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Thanks, getting back to the thread, do you think the NIPA will "Double Up" races to try and make up the lost racepoints? I think they will try some comeback races as they will want the money
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 i hope so because i have a few later ones that i would like to get into them races its abit far when you only see 2 fermoys and the rest were cancelled
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 I also have a few later ones that will need a race. I think they may have one shorter than Fermoy (with a bit of luck)
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 there was one meant to be tullamore same time as talbenny but i heard there again it would be clonmel or roscrea its a joke really
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 I will be in HQ at the weekend with our result. I will ask the question about comeback races, how many and where from. I will update this on Monday morning. P.S Good Luck tomorrow. SL
