no real point they would probably still be coming out and thank you for the offer of grizzels but jack likes fantails but a lovely offer thank you mo chara (my friend)

printed out photos of the birds and contacted as many local fanciers i know and asked them to keep the ear to the ground and pass it on to other fanciers

As well as putting the word around locally, I'd report it to the police, there may be a gang doing the rounds? You've also got pictures which will help, especially with OY's idea about getting newspapers, tv & radio involved. From the replies you've had so far, I think the grizzle isn't very common among fantails, and would stand out a mile in anyone's loft. Its a human story this one, the more people that know that the theft has broken a wee boy's heart, the more chance of public sympathy smoking out the thieves.

Sorry to hear this micko , I hope jack gets his birds back and the culprits are caught. Have you contacted Noel (omagh), maybe he might be able to help you out with a grizzle? I still have his number if you need it

It has to be a grizzle as this was Jacks favourite bird. I only hope that she returns to micko & Jack along with the rest of the birds. I wouldn't be suprised if it was someone local or in the near vicinity.
