mark proctor Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 what do u think is the quickest way to trap your birds using ets??????????? a top flyer round my area as got a corridor in is loft and on the bottom of the slide latted doors to each section hes got blobs...so on the out side the loft doors are open ready,,,underneath in is loft just before the blobs hes got a false box were is ets pad goes...when the cocks come they come that fast they hit the floor and some times carnt stop and slide right threw the blobs,,,theres been a few times when theyve missed the ets pad completly...pleasure to watch them trap...
micci Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 I use the same system, never get a bad trap' but like you say, they can be that fast that the pad doesn't register them.
MsPigeon Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 I use a spunik trap with two anttena pads under the board on the bottom. I just narrowed the entrance a couple inches on each side to make certain they have to pass over one of the pads. There has on more than one occasion been two clock at exactly the same time. The only time one gets missed clocking is if there are too many going through at once. The thing I like about the sputnik trap is you don't have to train the YB's to it they just pick it up so easily. Yours in the sport. Carol
adam owen Posted November 8, 2009 Author Report Posted November 8, 2009 as i will be having a block loft would big open windows do the same job
Guest bakes Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 would be sputnik for me mate as soon as they drop in and touch down there getting scanned in but i no off one brillent flyer he has set his ets up in side his loft just before they go through into there sections
