WORKING OUT AVERAGES

when you work out an average say over 5 races  .how do you do it i think it is like this

     race back sands   flying time    distance       velosity

                                1 06 20        66 mile   1751 .1557

    race side sands      1 32 35       89 mile     1691.8811

    race frount sands   2 09 20       105 mile   1428 .8659

   race top sands      3  21 33      155 mile     1353.5102

race bottom sands  4   25 23       2 01 mile  1333.0151

  total time       12H35MIN 11SEC

TOTAL DISTANCE 615 MILE

  average velosity for the 5 races is 1433.2943

if this is wrong or right please let me know any help appreciated

do you not add up all the vlocities and divide by the amount there is

Based on your flying time and total distance you vel is correct.

i.e. Total distance against total flying time.
