Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Hi Ant/Phil I have heard on the grape vine that we are following the WNR route going into Lillers, Metz, Saverne etc.. I think they are going to see what the feeling is for Heilbronn before making a decision whether to go there. Rob.
pjc Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 shhh, who from? I was told they would only allow the combine to lib on Mon or Tues each week and no way would Belgium permit any Sat libs!
chichichi Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Posted November 28, 2009 shhh, who from? I was told they would only allow the combine to lib on Mon or Tues each week and no way would Belgium permit any Sat libs! no belgium phil.. lol.. but we will all see soon.. very tough choice to make.. Friday also,, could upset a few,, lots want saturday racing,, work has to come first.. ant
Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 That's why they are racing from France, none of the new race points fall in Belgium.. and we will be liberating on a Friday.
chichichi Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Posted November 28, 2009 That's why they are racing from France, none of the new race points fall in Belgium.. and we will be liberating on a Friday. Are the welsh north road still racing on that route,, or are they going more south.. will we get a big combine again..time will tell.. ant
Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Think they are still racing the same route, but you can guarantee we will not all get back together that would just be too simple wouldn't it?
Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Thats one thing you can guarantee will never happen..
Guest strapper Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 funny how some condemmed the wnrf for going down that route now the combine thinking of doing it...strange? its a pity we all didnt go south, and have a massive combine coming into wales.
chichichi Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Posted November 28, 2009 Thats one thing you can guarantee will never happen.. never say never..lol.. If enough vote with their feet the feds will have to go south.. What we need is one massive combine,, racing in every channel race only.. start at lessay and have 5 or 6 channel races.. That would be a huge convoy of birds all coming into wales.. :) :) you could even include an international aswell for the die hard distance men.. ant
Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Phil, My thought is the combine should want whats best for the birds and what the members want, my view is we should all get back together, then we could be flying against 10,000 plus birds from the first channel races rather then 5,000 as current. Ant, My view is anyone wishing to go south in Wales has the opportunity at the moment.. A lot of people say they would rather go south, yet they still fly south east, seems crazy to me. If I wanted to fly south I would join a South Road club. Perhaps thats why the SR is so small, too many talkers.
chichichi Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Posted November 28, 2009 I feel south is the way forward for all.. jmo.. what we are seeing is the combine and WNRF going more south every year.. before long they will all be south.. lots fly both routes now as they can race the east upto the channel and the south then for saturday racing.. but we should all be together be it south or south east.. 15000 birds at the first channel race would demand respect from any other orgs liberating,, classing would be very rare then.. you never know 10,000 from a 400 mile race.. like the old thurso days.. :) now that would be nice.. 10,000 welsh birds in a blue ribbon event.. who knows what the future holds.. lets hope for a christmas truce between all the organisations.. ant
pjc Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 would be nice but think some have burnt to many bridge.
Guest tom123 Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 would the combine want WNRF? more like do the wnrf want the combine obviouslly not has they were the ones that broke away and were condemmed by everyone for doing so but like strapper says all of a sudden the french route is the best route

Guest strapper Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 I'm lead to beleive they are as follows:- folkestone 1 & 2 - sat lib.. lilliers reims metz and saverne All Friday lib except for folkstone what do the boys think about the friday libs phil m8?
Guest strapper Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 some won't be happy if working i think the sport aint for the working man anymore. i think there will be a few jumping ship and joining the new national which races on a saturday. i do believe its suicide to risk their members leaving.
pjc Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 another reason for ETS but thats not what racing is about!
Geraint Parry Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 I'm lead to beleive they are as follows:- folkestone 1 & 2 - sat lib.. lilliers reims metz and saverne All Friday lib except for folkstone Is this in stone now then? What about the young birds? thanks
