floor of your loft

Whats the best to use for you floor is thier anywhere that sells wire mesh for the floor so the birds droping go through for deep litter

you could try and source some mezzanine flooring or as gooner has mentioned just some wooden floor grills

if your wanting to walk on it mate u would be best with the mazzanine flooring or metal floor grills  you would have to have a lot of joists quite close togeather to use just normal mesh

I have floor grills in the old loft and Hemcore deep litter in my current young bird loft

 

I plan to have deep litter throughout all sections next season and metal grills on the base of my aviary.

 

Marzel lofts on Elimar was selling floor grills - maybe he has some cheaper than you can buy new.

deep litter  raked through  once a week in a dry well aired loft you will not beat it
