Guest TAMMY_1 Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 As Liz and I both love our birds we signed up to all the petitions that were posted up here to try and help them in any way we could but our second love is our greyhounds, so we wanted to as any members if they would care to sign this one to try and help the greyhounds welfare, the link to the petition is the one below. http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/helpgreyhounds/. But we have also added another few links which can be quite graphic and horrific showing some of what happens after these lovely dogs are of no use to their owners because they can no longer race, but it is not all owners who do this just a few, here is the link below but as I said some of it can be quite horrible so do not look at it all if you are squeamish, http://www.greyhoundmuses.com/ http://www.greyhoundmuses.com/sickening.htm
Guest Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 i took in an ex-racing greyhound a few years back (adopted him) until we found him a permanent home ,Jack was a beuaty ,gracefull and could run like the wind ,had lost his tail whilst held in kennels (looked like an extra long legged jack russel)had a good few years with a good family and lots of love and attention. andy.
whiteknight Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 VERY SAD AND SHOCKING I HAD TO LEAVE THE A.L.F FOR HEALTH PROBLEMS AND SOME OF THE VERY SICK THINGS THAT PEOPLE WHERE DOING TO ANIMALES .
paddymac Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 The only fact there is Don is that there are some sick minded & cruel people in this world. Pity the same justice wasn't available to punish them in return.
Guest Owen Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Congratulations and good luck in your efforts. We are suposed to be a civilised society and the strong should protect the weak . Things are going wrong these days because the strong seem to want to take advantage of the weak and then disgard them. It applies to people and animals. I think it is getting worse and we must put a stop to it somehow. Kindest regards Owen
Guest bakes Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 we had greyhounds that use to race as well as used for coursing down clomel, waterloo cup the only cruel is the *expletive removed* that owns the dogs if i ever seen anyone abuse a dog i would rip ten bells out of them been brought up around running dogs you let them do what they love doing by racing chasing then you repay them back by giving the best care and love and attention some people dont disserve to own an ant not to mention a dog .
