Guest mick bowler Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Who has raced well with decendants of drum (syndicate lofts), especially sons/dtrs? I know a couple lads that have, but i'm sure over the years there have been a lot of YBs sent out off him. cheers.
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Mick A young bird off Drum costs £1200 if you can get one i dont think that many people would race a young bird at that price.
Guest mick bowler Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Tom, i don't think they used to be that expensive and i see on the profile for Drum there are quite a few that were raced of the ones shown on there, including Crebags super hen. He is obviously producing good birds, but just wondered what his hit rate was.
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Mick i believe the chip shop boys had a lot of success with this line i have a few grand children at stock we will see how they go, all the best mate.
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Mick Peter Fox is selling 3 children off Drum at Blackpool 2 cocks and 1 hen if you go on the website there is photographs of the birds lot 6, lot 17 and lot 52.
Guest mick bowler Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Cheers Tom, who are the chip shop boys lol??
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Phil Bates and son i forgot that you dont get the BHW they were selling a lot of the stock birds at a fixed price about 3 weeks ago including 1 off Drum .They live in Wales.
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Mick Duncan Ferguson the ex footballer is selling a son of Drum an 09 bird on PIPA at the moment, the bid is 850 Euro and the sale ends on Sunday .At the moment its going to China.
Guest mick bowler Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 oh right, i see their name on Drum's profile. What price were they asking for him Tom? Yes seen that one, but not sure but think a lot of the good ones are bred from the same couple of hens he was paired too!
Guest stb- Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 simon le bon sunk the drum and it cost a few mill ;D ;D
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 I think that it was £1000 not sure as i dont keep the old papers but the interesting thing for me was the sire and dam of the National winner were £500 each.
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 He was mated to Doran and she is also for sale in Duncan Fergusons sale.
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Mick if you google Phil Bates and Son there is a little article by Syndicate Lofts on their birds.
Guest mick bowler Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Doran is a cracker too, surprised she for sale as YBs from her in the Syndicate sale list! I enquired about YB from her earlier in year but told there was'nt any, same with Drum. Drum must be a well guarded secret Tom, with just your replies! ;D
kelly tom Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Big Fergie bought Doran this year but he is cutting back as he lives in Spain and Albert Tatrleton is not getting any younger as he loks after his birds.
