hannigf Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 I am a novice and there is much I do not know. I am just reading a pigeon book and the interviewer asks the question 'Do you move squabs from under WET FEEDERS? I get the impression that this is a problem, but what is it? Francy. P.S For those of you who are really up to speed it is the great Brian Denney who is being interviewed. A test for everyone then; Can anyone tell me What is the title of the book?
Guest frank dooman Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 is it sqills or the homing world stud book??
hannigf Posted December 18, 2009 Author Report Posted December 18, 2009 Frank, thanks, I really do want to know what 'Wet Feeders' are. francy.
OLDYELLOW Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 basicaly parents filling ybs with water rather than food which results in very smelly and wet boxes , usualy find its younger pigeon that tend to do this
Guest bakes Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 what the problem can be is from un experienced first time breeders taken back to the nest water more than corn it in turn will make the boxs wet sometimes smelly all the best.
Guest frank dooman Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 as oldyellow says normanaly yearlings but some of them continue to feed water the nest will be very wet round the bowl once you see that try and move the y/birds and never let them feed again if they continue i once had a good cock that was bred for me he was a wet feeder and so was the cocks he bred but they won more than there fair share of races just wouldnt take the time to go get feeding before going to the nest
