EYEBROWS Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 I'm thinking of replacing the felted roof and putting a tiled apex roof on the loft, I was thinking of leaving a 3 inch gap front/back for the airflow but was wondering what your thoughts are on boarding or felting under the tiles.
EYEBROWS Posted December 24, 2009 Author Report Posted December 24, 2009 Oooops its posted twice can a mod delete one please
Guest joshdonlan Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 i wouldnt board, just put a false mesh ceiling underneath. You wouldnt want to stop ventilation :-/
Guest mick bowler Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 They look nice but a chimney in each section can be as good if not better, and a lot cheaper of course! Failing that as Josh says but you must make sure that there is an air movement in the false ceiling area to draw the air out of the sections.
