you can put a dres on a pig but you no its still a pig but theres no top loft in the country without trying to get a avanteg on there club mates so the darkys will stay for the time being but if you have got a astableshed famlie of doos you can pick wich ones you whant to go on the darknes its the timeing of the second molt that can be the problem if you have got them into the young bird nationls you have to keep them on the sistem longer and if your paring up earley jan or feb then your pushing them on a bit hard they will just be finished the moult and your paring them back up keep them clean and you wont get ybs :P :P :P

i do think the darkness can bring ybs on as most do not let any air in to the loft.

say they was 40 birds in loft and the amount off air was ok then you close the loft up and now the birds will be stressed as the will be not much air coming in any more.

i do not like curtains as they stop air coming in and out but i do like Venetian blinds as air can still pass if you do not close them up all the way

True - the mistake is cutting off the air supply at the same time as cutting off the light
