Guest joshdonlan Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Has anyone used this stuff as a deep litter http://www.mustang4supplies.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=653 ?
Guest peter.j Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 never heard of it but the price is similar to easi bed and hempcore so ill stick with them as i know whats in them with it being granular so birds may pick up and ingest it
Guest shippy Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 yes josh ive used it ver good but the droppings generally go a bit suspect first couple of days as they tend to pick at it after that if your loft is dry i think it is a very good deep litter
Guest frank dooman Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 i think you would need to find out what in it ie chemicals for the oil
DOVEScot Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Aye for diesel spillages, not sure it would be safe in the loft :-/
Guest Owen Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 What is wrong with the Vesa Laga loft granules? It is much the same and sold for pigeon lofts.
Guest joshdonlan Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Ive not seen that for sale in the shop Owen. How much is it? Ive seen on another forum this stuff mentioned, but was wonering whats in it?
Guest Owen Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 joshdonlan the Guy in the local corn suppliers sells it. It is around 7:00 a bag. Most of us in this area use it. I will use it mixed with something like easybed for the Stock Pigeons and with luck I will not have to clean out all season. It suits me to have a warm floor because I like to put all my babies onto the floor at 16 days so that all the old birds will feed them and the hens can go down for a second nest without having the youngsters climbing all over them.
