never heard of it but the price is similar to easi bed and hempcore so ill stick with them as i know whats in them with it being granular so birds may pick up and ingest it

yes josh ive used it ver good but the droppings generally go a bit suspect first couple of days as they tend to pick at it after that if your loft is dry i think it is a very good deep litter

i think you would need to find out what in it ie chemicals for the oil

What is wrong with the Vesa Laga loft granules? It is much the same and sold for pigeon lofts.

Ive not seen that for sale in the shop Owen. How much is it? Ive seen on another forum this stuff mentioned, but was wonering whats in it?

the Guy in the local corn suppliers sells it. It is around 7:00 a bag. Most of us in this area use it. I will use it mixed with something like easybed for the Stock Pigeons and with luck I will not have to clean out all season. It suits me to have a warm floor because I like to put all my babies onto the floor at 16 days so that all the old birds will feed them and the hens can go down for a second nest without having the youngsters climbing all over them.

Aye for diesel spillages, not sure it would be safe in the loft :-/

 

depends on what its made with some are ok but when its the motor trade stuff it usallly breaks down to quick and is very dusty ;)

never used it in loft but used to use it at work in a machine shop for absorbing oil spills not sure i'd use iy loft would think it would be treated with something

 

dont think its treated as most folk apply it by hand as you know , but  it will have imputrities in it as oil dont mind whot it gets soaked up with ;)

I currently scrape all lofts apart from stock and i dont want to scrape stock loft  :)

ive tried them all josh all have different probs from dampness to dust just scrape out now

well for the last four years ive used oil absorbent granules in my loft and theres nothing wroung with my birds , i use it  as i get ut free from work lol but they are bringing out a new enviroment freindly oil granule made out of coconut so i might give that a try next lol
