stantheman Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 i use ets because it suits me but am not able to use it in one club for several reasons which i wont go into but it still did not stop me topping fed on a fast race and being shortest flier as someone else said it dont make the birds any quicker given the choice i would choose ets every time
TREBLE D Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 i think the ets has an advantage over hand held clocks,i was at a moot once a few year back and the pannel was asked did they believed in ets and the reply was yes its a good idea as long as every body in the club used it as they believed it had a ten to twenty second advantage over manual clocks, the next question asked was would they use ets and they all replyed as soon as the first ets came to the combine they would get one because nobody can afford to give time away and now they all have one,my own club was awarded a lottery grant after been nocked back the first time we just amendid the forms and sent them back.
owen101 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 it depends if he gets abuzz from the handheld clock if not then get ets it is quicke but do u get the buzz of it
Guest peter.j Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 it depends if he gets abuzz from the handheld clock if not then get ets it is quicke but do u get the buzz of it the buzz is in the bird coming home not from putting a rubber in the clock, watching the birds wings fold and drop on the landing board is a buzz putting the rubber in the clock is a panic
owen101 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 i fort it was all a buzz wen you see the bird until the rubber is in the clock
TREBLE D Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 we fly on allotments and when two or three birds came together and you had to trap and catch the pigeon it was near heart attack stuff, with the ets we still have to trap them but we walk them over the pads still exiting but no hand trembing thimble dropping plunger pushing type of exitement, but still nothing can beat getting a good pigeon from the nationals no matter what clock you use.

TREBLE D Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 seen me partner throw his mobile across the garden instead of the trapper because he gets so exited thats what pigeon racing is about, thats why we race pigeons i think
