owen culling birds i am afraid is part of racing anyone telling you it is not is talking crap.i hate having to cull birds.i got asked years ago if i could cull birds from a member i said yes .he asked if i would go down to give him a hand to cull some.yes i said thinking 3or 4 or something like that. wrong evry single bird in the loft babies ybs yearlings old birds the lot .so when i say to anyone to cull a bird it is not a quick decision.this is a lost strag that is suffering . also putting other birds at risk of illness

hey i understand what you are saying its like any sport the bird has been brought inside away from my birds and was kept away from my other birds when i found it i as a rule always keep other new birds well away from my birds for a minimum of 2 months to 3 months just incase of infections but as i said if you do have any birds you feel are no use for your loft i do not mind taken them in i treat my birds as family sad as it seams i do and dont mind giving them a home altho would love a few proper racing birds at some point

i just dont know if i could do it to someone elses bird

i could do it to my own if they were not upto scratch or going to affect any others

and i see what you mean about illnesses gary

but exoticlover i think may be keeping the bird

all the best with the bird if you do exoticlover

yes i did ask if i could keep the bird but never got a yes or no answer and the owner asked if i could send details for the bird to be picked up was about to send details but found out the bird was unwell av not got a lot of money not many people do when animals are involved as am also a huge reptile keeper and they cost alot to keep but i dont mind havng a few stragler birds about my shed
