their are three colours in pigeons

ashred blue/black and brown

and four pattern

velvet/cheq ct

cheq ch

bar

barrless

the rest yo usee are variations of these three colours pattern although their is a few markings as well but not that common in homers saddle pied mottle splash been thecommon ones

for a good site type in frank mosca genetics on angelfire frank is a friend and one of the most knowledgeable people on genetics i know and also their is plentyo f fancy pigeon guys on this site that no doubt wil help ya out
