jimmy white Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 hope this sorts the problem out for you thomas, if its just a high count of cocci, should be easily solved,,by amprol [coxoid] a little "digestal" made by columbine will do no harm,, mixed in their food with a little wheatgerm or c l o,, itll sooth their intestines,, but really most of these products just make the fancier feel better [knowing hes doing something about it],,, but ive found it does help
thomasd Posted November 22, 2009 Author Report Posted November 22, 2009 hi all got letter from pigeon health uk animal products thats were i got my test their is a high level of cocci and high level of bacterial population he told me to use protril and coxedex he said to mix them together put it in ther water has any one every use this im giving him a ring on monday to make sure and get the mesurements and see if this treats for bacterial and cocci he said its not a big problem

blackdog Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 whats in the protril b.dog dont know mate, used it a few years ago when i was getting the birds checked by animal health, but think its all natural stuff in it, i personally think theres better stuff out there to treat cocci and bacterial infections mate .

mark proctor Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 send your pigeons droppings of to a proper vet m8...aint being funny or oat but natural products... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;Dstick um were the sun dont shine..honest...ive delt with uk animal products,,,,crap...always comes back as bactiral infection...and always treat for 10 days this and 10 days that...by then your birds have got what ever theyve got alot worse...i found that out and so did alot of fanciers round ere.....antis will not hurt them...just follow up with a good probiotic m8....jmo...
