Skull Lofts Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Hi all Just for clarification, the Cocks and Hens are in separate lofts next to each other but they use the same trap to enter into a passage in front of their lofts. My aim is to keep them separated when loft flying, but liberate them together when road training starts. Doing this they can mingle with each other until I get home whereby I separate them again before I water and feed them. On Saturdays, day of return from the races, and Sundays, day after the races, I want to keep them mixed and only separate them Sunday afternoon before feeding time so that both sexes get fed in their own lofts again. My aim being to get them to race home to be able to mix with the opposite sex when entering the loft. What’s your thoughts on this system? Skull
dwh Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 WE FLY EXACTLY THE SAME WAY AS YOU WHAT WE'VE FOUND IS IF THE HENS ARE THERE EVERY TIME THEY COME BAK OFF TRAINING THATS IF YOUR TRAINING EVERY WEEK LIKE WE DO THE COCKS WON'T EXERCISE ROUND THE LOFT SO ONE OF US IS ALWAYS AT THIS END TO TRAP THE HENS AND DRIVE THEM BACK INTO THERE OWN END
