Mealy Cock Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 I have read on the board about using vitamin supplements that are fit for human consumption. A word of warning to people who wish to use such additives, you would have to make sure the dosage Is correct for the amount of flock to be given. Vitamins can an affect and can have a disaffect if not used correctly The reason I know this is; I went to a patients house to take a person to hospital, the said person looked a Funny colour and very unwell, when chatting I found that the said person had been taking large amounts of all types Of vitamins and supplements, it was found that the person effectively had Poisoned them self.

Guest strapper Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 i think the thread states that over use..not human vits minerals..i have been using human vits minerals tabs(dissovable) for years...but not in whole..in lidls there is a tube of vitamins ..around a quid. orange or lemon flavours....orange and yellow tubes. there is about 10 tabs in there...bigger than an extra strong mint. i break these into 4 and put one piece in a 3-4 pint drinker...once a week. they have loads of the finest minerals and vits in them. i would also say that any over use of anything can cause problems. too many vits can cause the runs in humans so i would think can also be the same for birds.
