Mealy Cock Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Found this on there web site link, these people will stop at nothing to protect BOP even to the fact of involving the Goverment. Their campaign http://www.rspb.org.uk/supporting/campaigns/birdsofprey/index.asp
Guest Owen Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 I notice that they are saying that the White Tailed Eagle has returned to Scotland. NO. They brought it there. Now there are farmers going out of business because this bird is taking their lambs. Not weak or small lambs, big robust healthy lambs. These felons should be removed so that the situation can go back to how it has been for hundreds of years. And the RSPB should be made to compensate the Farmers for their losses. When they introduced the wolf to Northern America the agreement was that if it killed livestock there had to be compensation. The same should apply in the case of the White Tailed Eagle. I can not see why they have to mess about with things that do not need to be changed. If they stuck to protecting birds properly, I am sure we would all appreciate what they are doing. Now they are very likely to start a war. I say this because there are a lot of people who are not going to sit back and allow the RSPB to dictate how they are going to live. British People have always fought against unjust laws and I think it is going to happen again.

alex wight Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 TO-DAY NEWS LETTER 20,OOO PETITION HANDED TO EDWIN POOTS TO PROTECT BIRDS OF PREY Where's ours to say otherwise :-/ :-/ :-/
Guest Owen Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 I have been having a lengthy dialogue with the RSPB and they are trying to convince me that the birds of prey will regulate themseves. I do not agree, and I am saying that they bear responsiblity for the damage they are doing and the loss of the song birds. I will publish all the information as soon as I can. I think it is time that everyone who reads this gets in touch with their regional secretary and asks them to organse a petition to oppose the birds of prey from attacking their stock. Of course you can argue about the wisdom of the idea and point out that it will not work if you want to. But I am asking you to repectfully ask the Sectraries to get on with some positive action. The Sectraries have the lists of all the members and, if they do this, there is a good chance that everyone will be asked to sign. I think everyone must be included. If we rely on petitions in the press, or petitions at the various events, such as shows, we will not cover the membership properly. This is partly about numbers so please get on with it.
Guest Owen Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 I have left this post for several hours now and it is obviously not struck a cord with anyone. So apathy stricks again. Sorry to have troubled you. I think it may be best to either leave this problem for someone else to sort out or perhaps just carry on reporting how unlucky we have been to have these naughty BOP have offending us. On the other hand we could bluster and shout and talk to ourselves. I bet the RSPB are loving it. Never mind I will carry on carrying on, the rest of you can fiddle while your Rome burns.
mealybug Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Ask them how they justify the increase in numbers of Birds of Prey with the sharp decline in the song bird population. I thought they were there for the protection of all birds, yet they seem to encourage a breed which is having a massive impact on another. Crazy.
