Guest vander mungo Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 This cock was lost on 40 mile toss last year and come back 2 weeks ago. i looked him over and checked is droppings then his crop for canker all clear He has brilliant pink skin only thing was he smelt a bit like he been in a field. Never had one come back so clean and in top health make you think how he lasted so long with the bad winter we have had. Have a funny feeling about this bird will he be a winner or not time will tell. he would certainly get a chance in my team like these want home type

Worth keeping hold of, I to had a bad training toss, lost a number of birds, low and behold a cock returned 12months later in mint condition, "some kind person had kept him" I paired him up and got him used to widowhood came steady till a 140mile race came up NW wind, pooled him up, home he came 1st club 3rd Fed 2,100 birds also won the week after.
