Can you have to many vents?

Would it be best to put the vents, say at the front of the loft down low and the rear ones at the top so that the air has to go in from floor level at the front and out at the ceiling level?, Would this also stop any wind blowing straight threw.

Whats the best postion or does it depend on where the loft is situated.

Also can you have to many, As i visited i fancier the other day and there where no louvers just open, wired slots in the top of his loft and hes been into pigeons for most of his life and is 74 years old.

Thanks, Mav.

Shame they have to be bright white,

Does anyone know if anyone makes brown ones or could i give them a coat of light wood colour preservative to help them blend in with the brown loft?.
