rasbull Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Hi Share Syndicate holder, I would like to firstly say that the young birds are growing very well and within a couple of weeks will be weaned off from their parents. Breeding has not gone exactly to plan with me pairing up a lot later than anticipated. It is with this in mind that I have changed the structure of the syndicate and therefore the interest you hold. Originally I was going to send 3 teams down to the race (9 pigeons) but due to lack of youngsters ready in time for the intake date to the Europa Loft in Cardiff, I have decided to reduce this to just 1 team of 3 pigeons. How will this affect you? Well, instead of 12 shares being split between 9 pigeons made up of 3 syndicates with 3 pigeons in each, it will now be 12 shares split between 3 pigeons made up of 3 syndicates with 1 pigeon in each. Here's what I propose:- Where as 1 syndicate of 4 people would have originally had 3 birds with 1 activated bird and 2 backups in the race, the back up will no longer exist. The syndicate (4 shares) will just have 1 pigeon in the race. If this pigeon is lost, there will be no replacement and it will be end of sports. It is going to cost £400 to enter the team of 3 into the race, so this means the cost to enter has reduced from the initial £50 a share to £33.50 a share! Those of you who have paid in full (£50), you will be sent a cheque for the amount of £16.50 as soon as possible. The good news is that the potential prize will remain unchanged because you will still own a 1/4 share in the bird in your syndicate. So based on last years winning amount that will still equate to £5,250 each! This was the only way I could still continue with the syndicate based on the number of young birds that would be ready in time. If as a shareholder in the syndicate you would still like to be involved please forward the £8.50 per share (as everyone has paid their £25 deposits) to me as soon as possible as within a couple of weeks the birds will be sent to the loft in Cardiff. If you are unhappy with the new setup of the syndicate please feel free to let me know and I will issue you with a refund for any money paid to date. Nothing has really changed if you think about it. It was costing £50 for a 1/4 share in 1 bird, with 2 backups which could be activated at a later date if still in the loft for an additional price. With this new setup it is now £33.50 for 1 bird with no backups. The prize remains the same as you would have stood to win had the format not changed! Thank You Richard Shepherd www.Rasbull-lofts.co.uk

rasbull Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 As many of you know I have set up a share syndicate in the Europa Classic for the coming season. I have entered 3 pigeons in the race that I have bred myself. In addition to this, I aim to purchase 4 or 5 birds belonging to other people who will race under our name and compete for the prize money on offer. What I am after is anyone wanting to join in with us and have a share in these additional birds we plan to activate. The birds are going to be £100 each when they are sold to the public. I want to have 4 shareholders in each of these birds so that the prize money is decent if we get lucky. That works out at £25 a share - with £5,250 in potential winnings per share held if we get lucky. Not a bad price for a bit of fun throughout the summer and a chance of winning some decent cash. Anyone interested in joining in on this venture please get in touch. The birds usually become available around the 1st Hotspots in these races. Good Luck and I look forward to welcoming you on board!
rasbull Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 Just 3 spaces left at £25 a pop! I stress these birds in the 2 additional syndicates will not have not been bred by myself and will have been entered by another fancier! (Already decided whose birds we are going to select to represent the syndicate if and when they become available for sale! ) Anyone purchasing a share I am sure will not be disappointed by the fancier we have selected! Join and have a bit of fun throughout the summer for next to nothing!
rasbull Posted July 23, 2010 Author Report Posted July 23, 2010 Well training has finally started and pleased to report all 3 syndicate birds still in the race. In todays trainer recorded 35th, 367th and 878th positions - 1032 birds clocked in! The 2 new syndicates that have been formed are now both full and after discussion with the shareholders will be activating the 2 birds as soon as they come up for general sale.
rasbull Posted July 24, 2010 Author Report Posted July 24, 2010 I think we have a speed machine on our hands guys! Syndicate 1 bird was 5th in todays trainer to go with the 35th he scored yesterday! The other syndicate birds were 103rd and 793rd. 1,035 birds clocked in today!
rasbull Posted July 26, 2010 Author Report Posted July 26, 2010 Well 3 trainers down and all 3 syndicate birds still in the loft. Todays trainer shows the birds being 434th, 493rd and 650th. The speed machine being the 650th bird home. Think he has found himself a girlfriend who is slacking at the back of the field and he has hooked up with her! I will instruct Derek to put him in isolation so he can forget about that floozee and get his mind back on the job!
rasbull Posted July 28, 2010 Author Report Posted July 28, 2010 174th, 363rd and 988th in todays trainer. The first 2 were within 90 seconds of the winner but the 3rd was 14 minutes behind! Think he must have stopped for a bit of shopping in Hereford before making his way back home!
rasbull Posted July 29, 2010 Author Report Posted July 29, 2010 Syndicate 1 bird was 20th in todays trainer, so has been in the top 35 birds 3 times out of the 5 trainers to date. The other birds were 527th and 808th but all within 2 minutes of the winner. The birds have been marked and the first hotspot is tomorrow from 60 miles. Needless to say Syndicate 1 bird has been pooled all the way and I am expecting him to go close!!

rasbull Posted July 29, 2010 Author Report Posted July 29, 2010 Hiya Rob, he is going well at present but training is nothing its the longer races I want him to be doing well in! I am currently waiting for an email from Derek confirming the bird you will have a share in. Have to wait for everyone to decide if they are activating their own birds before the 2 additional share syndicates can be alloacted their birds. Have picked out 4 so hopefully 2 of these will be available and flying for us. Hoping to have it sorted prior to the hotspot tomorrow but as soon as I get the email confirming will let you know.
rasbull Posted July 30, 2010 Author Report Posted July 30, 2010 Well the 1st Hotspot turned out to be a disaster for the syndicate birds. We have activated another 2 and they are now flying in our name. Details of share holders on the website. The birds were liberated at 6.45am with the winner recorded at 8.24am. The field of 1048 birds were then clocked over 3-4 hours to complete the 60 miles race! They have appeared to have hit trouble I would guess looking at the times and the way they have arrived. The syndicate birds recorded 710th, 728th, 753rd, 923rd! The pigeon that has been coming well in training has not clocked! I hope he makes it back but looking at the results it seems as though the birds that have not been doing that well in training are leading the result with the birds that have done well either missing or very low down the result! But hey, that pigeon racing for you. The important thing is we have 4 of the 5 still in the loft and every chance the 5th will turn up ready to fight on! The list shows close to 90 birds missing from todays race.
rasbull Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 First things first - syndicate 1 pigeon has returned to the loft I have been informed by Russ and they are now missing 31 birds from the 1st hotspot. So good news as this pigeon has started very well indeed. Secondly we have secured another pigeon in the race and have setup a 6th syndicate. The bird in question was 4th yesterday in the hotspot and would have been in the prize money if activated. I have purchased this pigeon 30 minutes ago, have sold 3 shares and have 1 available. The cost of the share is £25. Anyone interested to contact me as first come, first served! Cheers.
