Guest stevie-b Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 not enough differnt grit and minerals trying putting in a gally pot with a little salt just enough to sparingly cover the bottom will dry them up
Guest youngboy Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 awh that must be it thanks very much as they always have grit but unfort havent had any minerals on front of them for a while!!! thanks again!
bullcock Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 every year there is always a pair that does this, I think its down to the parents and after a couple of days they usually go hard again, as long as the young birds look alright they should be ok as its only the parents giving too much water, I have no answer as to why they do it, and we don't like to see it, but they should be ok.
bullcock Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 P,S. on the subject of grit we feed pink, black & brown grit as well as grit and Homaform, so it can still happen but definently give a variety of grit during rearing.
