fletch Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 was wondering if someone may have any advice on this hen not laying, there is 8 pairs in stock loft all went down within 2 days of each otherin the first round, the second round all bar 1 has gone down again the first pair layed 6th march and the 7th pair layed 14th march, but this one pair has not gone down, its nearly 21 days since her first round was taken away, but she has given me sign of laying, they built a nest, the cock was running her like mad, she has spent time in the bowl her tail is in the down as she looks in egg but she doesnt feel in egg, but the last week the cock has stopped running her and she has stopped going in the bowl, she is a 04 her who never had problem laying while i have had her, there is fresh grit daily, there is fresh pink minerals every day and they are given black minerals every 4th day, they have ad herbs originals on there food like all year round, they have oerego stem in water every other day, have thought about parting them up for a few days to try to get a reaction again, any advice welcome, dont want no negative comments so if there is will ask them to be removed, Thank in advanced

Guest frank dooman Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 sounds as though she is haveing trouble forming /laying try a bucket of warm water dip her in for 5 mins do that a few times see if it helps but you may be better to seperate for a few days to get the cock driving again
