mark proctor Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 how many cocks and hens have you got?
mark proctor Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 11 cocks 8 hens keep it simple for the first few years till you build a team up m8,,,try widowhood,,just have a bit of fun with them without trying to hard and getting stressed out,,use 1 hen to 2 cocks...just enjoy them m8...get the feed right and if there healthy enough and trainined up right you will be ok....

gingell Posted March 28, 2010 Author Report Posted March 28, 2010 is it best to feed widowhood corn what you by or do you and your own bits as you go. raced young birds 09 won first three race`s got 2x6th combine
Guest Owen Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 The best and easiest way for you would be to fly Celibacy. That way you can fly both cocks and hens. And the birds will fly the distance better that any other way. Unless you are experienced, widowhood can be a nightmare and I find Natural expensive because of the training you require. And I hate the mess and stink of Natural. It all depends on the time you have available and whether you have a poor sense of smell. In Countries that have problems with the day length such as Australia and New Zealand it is normal to fly their birds Celibate. And they fly the distance without much trouble.
