I thought there was a trick to see if eggs are fertile or not,!

if you want to see if they are fertile hold them up to a light at 7 days and you will see the embyo developing.

well i have 3 eggs which are reallt dirty, i have no idea if they are fertile, they are 15 days old,

wrap your forfingure and thumb around the egg and hold it up to a light bulb, at 15 days you won't see through it if its fertile, if you can see the brightness of the light through the egg then its not fertile.

When we used to collect birds eggs as a boy, we would float the eggs to see if the were liquid to see if they could be blown, if they floated they were liquid if they sunk they were solid, also fresh eggs have a small air sack inside them which helps them float, never done it to pigeon eggs always held them up to the light :)
