Red cooky Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 No worries mate and thank you, I just hope everyone gets behind this and uses the site as I hope they will. If it gets just one article in a newspaper then it will have been worth the effort! I have posted the letters I have sent to the Racing Pigeon, BHW and RPRA as well as a revised letter to the newspapers that are mentioned above. Richard Shepherd www.Rasbull-lofts.co.uk Yeah I agree BUT!!!!! i Think you have started something that needs carrying on and to gain momentum , if not then we really are a bunch of weak willed wasters who talk the talk but dont walk the walk. sorry for that! If this fails then we should no longer moan on about hawk attacks , because we are weak , cant be ars~d, yappers and who on earth is going to take us seriously being like that?
youngboy_ Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 have sent this link to many people hope this helps!
Guest lenwadebob Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 239 Signatures so far :-/ Not a great many considering over 9,000 members on this site alone, and 33,000+ members of the RPRA. Get signing lads and lasses PLEASE. We are all pigeon fanciers together, and should have a positive attitude, and support those who are trying to get something done about this problem. Let's not have an attitude of "Oh well it doesn't affect me". Each and every one of us needs each other in some capacity. UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.
rasbull Posted March 22, 2010 Author Report Posted March 22, 2010 Thanks for the support Lenwadebob. I have 60 members so far on the Facebook page, and believe it or not the majority I would say or not even pigeon fanciers! We need to help ourselves guys! I have just emailed those 60 members and requested they find the worst picture they can on the page so far and repost so all their friends get to see the picture on their computers! If all do, that will be an average of 4,200 members of the public that will see the same awful picture and may just have their eyes opened!! How else are we going to get them to see? And if WE ALL dont support each other how is pigeon racing continue and the songbird plight going to correct itself?? I have set this up and now need each and everyones support! I have a promise from Les Parkinson that he will include the site in his article in the 1st week of April so that will get the BHW readers aware of the group. But this group can only work if WE as pigeon fanciers and bird lovers make it work! No-one is going to help us.....we have to help ourselves. It doesn't cost any money so please get behind this project. Richard Shepherd www.Rasbull-lofts.co.uk

rasbull Posted March 23, 2010 Author Report Posted March 23, 2010 I see the letters page in the Daily Mail carried a debate section on Bird of Prey/Songbirds in todays edition. 1 letter sticking up for the hawks and 3 against! All good publicity. Will put a copy on the Facebook Action page later tonight for anyone wanting to read. But 3-1 in favour of a cull is going to make a few people sit up and take notice. I think we have an ally in The Daily Mail, of all the National newspapers they seem the ones most likely to help achieve our aim and report our concerns. Another letter from myself will be fired off tonight in the hope the recently raised issue will be continued to be covered. Anyone else wanting to send a letter the email is letters@dailymail.co.uk. The more letters they receive the more inclined they will be to cover a full report on the topic. Richard Shepherd Rasbull-lofts.co.uk

Richard Shepherd Rasbull-lofts.co.uk I have just sent the Daily Mail one long letter and a reply from the RSPB and proof they are misleading the public with their own published survey.
