Leroy Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 North West tonight - it is on now and will have a piece on some peregrines and their chicks - BBC 1
Guest Owen Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 Now that there is oposition to the RSPB and their friends, I would expect them to fight back. I think we need to remember that these people are fanatics and this issue will get to be very nasty before it is finished. The Media will be well pleased to fill their space with stuff like this. And if a Pigeon Fancier or Gamekeeper were to slip up, they will immeadiatly go into outrage drive. On the other hand, we have an awful lot of advantages over them if we care to exploit them.
Brian Don Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 No need for me to watch peregrines on TV. Had the real thing this morning when a peregrine attacked my team whilst out for exercise. Have experienced this for the last six seasons now and peregrines are seen almost daily sitting on a ledge of a chimney stack approximately 800 yards from my loft. They usually move on and nest elsewhere during April, quicker the better and give the pigeons and myself some peace.
