Guest cloudview Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 it probably equeates to the same thing ie roundabout bothsexes trapping to same section whereas double widow hood will mean races both sexes on traditional widow hood ie stock pigeons paired to the race team if get what i mean
Guest chrisss Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 is that the same as the sliding doors method, where you let the cocks out of say,the right hand section, drive the hens into the empty section, get the cocks back into the now empty hens section, then let the hens out, then on friday let run together?,
Guest cloudview Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 no chriss all bird s trap into the section where the nest boxes are , hens end up in section with v perches, poles etc , cocks always roost in nest box
schouwman71 Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 i know of dual widowhood were both sexes are seperated onto perches, you need 3 sections were the boxes are in the middle section, you breed a round from them then the cock and hens move to the other two sections ,the middle now empty, once you start training they race to the middle section, and another thing you can pair individual birds up without disturbing the others. les

I've never heard of Double Widowhood, you learn something new every day!
