BLUEBAR165 Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 they will need to b parted from each other or they will keep on laying better to split them now an let them enjoy a good moult
DOVEScot Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 hi my fantails are breeding like mad when does the breeding season finish i dont want to be burning them out my birds are to good for that haha mick Pigeons will breed all year round but they slow down naturally in the winter, our cote fantails are left to nature and they tend to be fine breeding all year round but if the weather is harsh then the breeding suffers and it is survival of the fittest unlike our nice cosy loft birds. We separate them or take away the eggs as soon as they start to moult :-/ Racing pigeons are ofcourse different as they are bred for to get the best out of the racing season :-/
OLDYELLOW Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 either remove bowls or give birds pot eggs to sit , it fols them for a bit or the obvious split till you wish to breed again
