john bingham Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 thats why ive deceide to race them in the warmer part of the season it get really cold in the northeast april time thought it would be to much better middles of may frist race would be 124 miles
Thimbles Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 if you put them on the darkness they'll be like yearlings try it and find out yeah and you will also have all sorts of problems with the birds the darkness is cutting of exposure to uv light which in my opinion is madness and all these darkness fanciers wonder why they get ybs time n time again
Guest frank dooman Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 yeah and you will also have all sorts of problems with the birds the darkness is cutting of exposure to uv light which in my opinion is madness and all these darkness fanciers wonder why they get ybs time n time again sory for bieng off topic but i fly darkness and have never had ybs unlike lots of natural yb but i do agree no need to put thease birds on darkness

Thimbles Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 do you cover up your vents to allow complete darkness thats another problem you get fanciers covering up vents aswell so there you have it birds raised in the dark with no ventilation each to there own but i believe darkness is cruel
john bingham Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 i think if u want to compete with young birds u need to race darkness its each they own
Thimbles Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 i think if u want to compete with young birds u need to race darkness its each they own how are you coming to that conclusion what about breeding the birds at the right time of year my birds werent on the darkness and i got right through the season and my results were ok aswell
Guest frank dooman Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 no i dont cover the vents and i dont know anyone who does i can under stand your concern but there is no cruelty a slight thing like over feeding is more cruel than darkness im sory this is off topic i wont hijack the thread any more
