There are so many different ways to race this system, it does not matter what you do as long as it works. I prefer hens to trap to their own section on exercising, but they always trapped to the cocks section from training.

 

If you want your cocks to perform as well as the hens, either put the cocks into a third section (perches) for the week or cover their boxes with ply with just a saddle perch.
