Guest IB Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Early morning and evening, unless an evening trainer. Fed in both times.
Guest strapper Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 when i flew open hole then i had my best fed results,,,but had to stop because of cats etc...but now i let them out morn/night...light feed morn /main feed night...as pjc.
Guest strapper Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 when i did fly open hole i had 3 birds in the fed 3 weeks running at one time...delighted with the system,,but as i said its deadly now with so many cats around.
Guest chrisss Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 i would love to try my birds on open hole the trouble is i live in a builtup area [alright a council estate which is like a warzone] my birds would in the end, land on the roof of one of the houses,so mine [whats left of them] go out late afternoon only
Guest strapper Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 i live on a council estate, had a new family move in next door no fuss from them over the birds but they have 3 cats..
Guest chrisss Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 i live on a council estate, had a new family move in next door no fuss from them over the birds but they have 3 cats.. the new guys next store to me are not great pigeon people, but my main problem are yobbos, i back on to a park and now have 2 x500 watt lights and a cctv camera fitted on the back wall just in case, i had trouble with them the summer before last, they assumed that pigeons means old guy ,then they found out it meant 15 stone guy in late 40s who served in 3 different armies[they have gone away now, bless them but they could always return] hence my birds are only out when i am there,a sad reflection on our times
pjc Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Open hole normally leads to neighbour problems and while your not there you don't know what your birds are doing! They do excercise more, up and down all day but can also go fielding, sit on roofs etc etc
Guest spin cycle Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 i only fly open hole because i've not time to train. i reckon two excersize periods /day with trapping to corn tin and bit of training probably better..certainly for trapping...my 2nd bird sat out for 15 mins today.
