hello all  ;) i have had my young hens and cocks seperated for the last 5 weeks . i know hens pair up but do cocks and will they tread ?

one cock is a large cheq the other is a small pied smaller than my hens he drives like a cock and between him and his mate rule the loft floor and i have to remoove both as to let the other cocks eat and drink .  ;D

the pied has been to two races as a cock and performed well so today i let the birds run together thinking they would pick a hen but as im watching the cocks and hens showing to each other i saw the cheq tread the pied .

can this happen ?  :-/

Cocks will pair to each other. Had it happen twice with young cocks, with one of each pair racing particularly well. Paired with hens no bother as yearlings.
