Wiley Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 its difficult to explain, but the best expression would be like a balloon, light but blown up.But what you gotta realise the prepartion from 300-400 miles would be different to 60 miles to 250, i race 70-250miles and this is what i like to see

(Difficult to explain) ;) Just think of the difference etc, between a tennis ball & a cricket ball. Then imagine ???????? if you can, throwing each one for 8 to 10 hours plus non stop, & then which one would make you the most knackered :P at the end of the day. Enjoy.

jimmy white Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 hi just thought of this and wondered how poeple like to send there birds to a race do you like them nice and light in the hand do you like them a bit hevy in the hand the flesh around keel wot do u like to see ect think my answer would be,, there are many different shaped birds,as different type races, and when fit will obviously handle differently,, but basicly i like an apple bodied small to medium type bird, with a strong back, and handling like cork
Pigeondoll Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 I like them firm pinkish flesh on keel and sit well balanced in hands bit like a cork. 8)
Ronnie Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Like a blown up paper bag for inland. When they go over 250 mile i start carb loading wich in turn makes them heavier. There still like a blown up paper bag but with a little bit in the bottom if you know what i mean.
