is this pairing too close and what would the problem with the youngsters out of them be

have done for stock but not for racing lost them while training as young birds.

think it ok father and daughter . its brother and sister thats not to good.

its not a case of defects .You line breed to try and compound the genes you want in a bird a cock will pass most of his genes to a hen offspring where as a hen will pass most of hers to a cock offspring.so when you put father to daughter you have chance of getting moreof the genes you was after from said parent you could then compound this even more by going grandfather to grandaughter and so on.If you take this approach to breading you have to be very strict on your selection process.

Not sure if this helps but its the way i was told.
