i dint send but the club had a really bad race!

I had a GREAT race on the 13th, got every bird back, each release they came all together on a drop, and we took the top 11 and 12 places for each race. But the trainer we had on the 30th we were singing the blues as we lost 47 birds out of the 73 we sent. So it was a nice turn around. Hope what ever happened to get those birds lost the first time is done happening...

i had 14home from17 sent,taking 1st,2nd,3rd, & 5th club,not many birds sent from club only 125birds this week.spoke to some members tonight,a few now finished for the season because they have hardly any young birds left.i took some late breds from the stock birds & ended up giving them to two of our older members(and i mean older one is 82 & the other must be in her late sixties)

I'm still missing 5 from weekendbut had one reported in Drewsey.

 

We did good in the 150 mile race of the Spirit of Colorado on Monday took 4th and 7th 9 and 11 seconds behind winner, got all our 12 birds back to the loft. 225 this Sunday and the 300 Labor day weekend, so we're going down to Denver for a few days.

We held until Monday for a race, and seemed to have had a cracker; especially after many birds in their first race having a holdover. I was really pleased with the condition of the birds when they got home, didnt have any dehydrated and they even clapped up round the loft for 10 mins within 30mins of getting home.
