Robert Hyde Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Tom,The WNRF fed must have been swayed to go east to west from North originally,The majority would have to vote for it anyway.
Robert Hyde Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Alas we are only 11 members now ,members are struggling to get a team together due to yb losses.
Guest tom123 Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Tom,The WNRF fed must have been swayed to go east to west from North originally,The majority would have to vote for it anyway. i dont no how it came about mate jioned that year from the rvf
rasbull Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Well whatever they decide to do they need to do it soon or they will have no members left in the sport let alone the fed and those that do stay will have very few if any birds!
Guest tom123 Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/never mind we`ll have a good race next week fingers crossed and there will be noone on here next sunday and noone to talk too
rasbull Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Yeah lets hope so! The only one thing that you can say is the youngbirds that work there socks off and come back 5-6 hours late or the following morning are gonna take some losing in the future as the ground they are covering has got to be immense. So those that are left you can say have well and truly earnt there perch! ;-)
adam owen Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 well a mate of mine in newport as lost 33 birds in two weeks , thease are all well trained in differant directions .i think its time to go on a direct route,as alot of the losses is because we are crossing so many differant races.we cant go on like this before long there wont be any body flying.

Is he a mob flyer to be able to lose that many birds? Doesn't have to be on a direct route, with all the technology at our disposal the race controller can easily calculate where and when other feds birds are going to be within a pretty narrow margin thus avoiding possible conflict. All it takes is co-operation and communication. JMO
adam owen Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 yes mate the last two swindons, yes he does race alot of young birds something ive never been a fan of ,but the way things are going i think they will need them ,but on other hand praps this is half the trouble keeping to many birds may b half of um are ill and u dnt even no ,when u av a shed fool its hard to keep close eye on them all .yes i argee mate with what we got it shouldnt be happening , but it is year in year out something got to be done .with what you said bout a direct route may b its not the answear goin south or north but surley it got be better, as we cross every fed in the country.

Maybe the feds with the problems should ask the ones without what they are doing and adopt that strategy because they must be doing something right. Never been a fan of mob flying either but makes it fun when you beat them with small team of say 20 and get them all back week in week out, not happy to see anyone lose birds though but its a risk you take and you hit the nail on the head when you said that with that many birds you have less chance of picking up on something wrong with all the birds. Lot of sense to what you just said.

taffacre Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 They say young bird sickness is brought on by STRESS, with the ammount of hours these young birds are having to put in ,after a bad race its no wonder they are coming down with sickness,i dont think the Welsh nr fed have had a good young bird race yet this year, hope things improve next week for you. Cant get any worse can it.
